How many credits does a Tiny Desk AI video cost?

A standard video (480p) costs 100 credits and an HD video (720p) costs 300 credits. Both are the same 19-second 9:16 video with the original song under it. The credits are taken when you press the button and returned if the video fails.

Do Tiny Desk AI credits expire?

No. Credits are a one-time purchase, they never expire and there is no subscription to cancel. Buy a pack, make a video now and keep the rest for the next group chat.

A video that fails is refunded automatically, with no request needed. For a video that finished but you do not like, change the photo and make another; the standard price is low so you can try a cast before you spend on HD. What a credit pays for

One video is made from two pieces of the original clip, and each piece is rendered by an AI video model. That is where almost all of the price goes: the model charges by the second, and HD costs roughly twice as much per second as standard. The pack prices are set so that three standard videos and one HD video cost the same, which is why the Trio pack says “or”.

Standard or HD: which should you buy?

Start with standard. It is the same cast, the same cuts and the same song as HD, only at 480p, so it shows you everything that matters: whether the faces look like the people, whether the lead's laugh works, and whether the sax seat should be someone else. Most casts need a change or two, and a change is cheaper at 100 credits than at 300.

Choose HD for the version you will post. At 720p faces, clothes and the clutter on the shelves are sharper, which matters on a phone held close to the face and matters most in the long laugh in the middle of the video. If you buy the Trio pack you can spend it either way: three standard tries, or one HD video when you already know the cast is right.
